A lack of clean and safe drinking water is not available for hundreds of millions of people in the world and this one problem has a multiplicity of far-reaching negative effects.

30 Day Burpee Challenge:

Be able to do 30 burpees (or more) at the end of 30 days. Students will acquire sponsors that will donate a specified amount per burpee performed on the final day of the challenge. For example, sponsors may choose to donate $1/burpee, or a $30 donation.

Step 1. Stand straight with your feet a shoulder width apart.  This is your starting position.

Step 2. In one smooth move squat down and place your hands on the floor in front of your feet.

Step 3. Lean forward, putting your full weight on your hands while jumping your legs out behind you until they are fully extended.  Your body should form a straight line and your weight supported by your arms (extended in a pushup position) toes and the balls of your feet.  Complete one full pushup.

Step 4. Jump your feet forward to just behind your hands.

Step 5. Use an explosive motion and jump up, then return to the start position.

There will be a prize for the person who can do the most burpees, with correct form, and a prize for the person who raises the most money. Students will then have two weeks to collect the money from their sponsors and return to Passport class to add to our Neverthirst collection for clean water wells in Africa!! We will announce the total amount raised at our end-of-the-year program!
